From the
South Leave the M6 at Junction 36 and take the A590 as far as Greenodd. At Greenodd turn right on to the A5092 (and then A595) towards Millom and Whitehaven. Stay on the A595 until you reach the T junction shown on the map to the left, i.e. its second junction with the A5093. From the North From Carlisle the A595 will take you down the coast until you reach the junction shown on the map on the left. Alternatively, you can take a more scenic route through the Lake District from Penrith. Public Transport Trains to Silecroft run regularly on weekdays and Saturdays from Carlisle in the North and Lancaster/Preston (via Barrow) in the South. Sadly there are no trains between Barrow and Whitehaven on Sundays. National Express will also get you to Barrow-in-Furness, though again not on a Sunday.
The Miners' Arms and Silecroft Post Office Silecroft station, taken from opposite 'Boots and Boards B&B'
